Mental Health Week runs from 8th-16th October, in fact the whole of October is now declared Mental health Month, so there is even more opportunity to get involved. Mental Health Week/Month is a great opportunity to hold an event, or simply start conversations to raise awareness about the topic and share information and services that are available to support everyone. So what can you do to get involved?
First of, you can check these state based Mental health Week/Month websites full of information and resources to be involved or find events near you
- qldmentalhealthweek.org.au
- Mental Health Month – wayahead
- Mental Health Week
- Look After your Mental Health Australia
- Mental Health Week SA
- Mental Health Week WA
Once you have checked these out, maybe printed off some resources, got some activity ideas, you might be inspired to run a morning tea, or ensure the topic is part of your next Club/ School meeting to discuss what you can do to promote Mental Health in your organisation – perhaps there is a local guest speaker you could invite?
