As you may have read in this news update, this is my last ‘in-print’ chairman’s note, but I am very excited that we as a foundation, are now looking to new digital ways to communicate with fellow Lions, Educators, Community Services and alike. We hope this move will be welcomed by all, with subscribers receiving this own issue rather than sharing one printed newsletter, and of course, the environment will welcome this move too!
I hope you will subscribe to our eNews, it’s easy to do, simply subscribe here.
We certainly won’t bombard your inbox, but we hope you will enjoy hearing from us throughout the year on project updates, useful services and research that may help your community live happy healthy lives.
Over the decades our ‘in-print’ newsletter has resulted in reaching across the country to all stakeholders. We can feel very proud that the information that we have delivered to the thousands of recipients has put us at the cutting edge.
It’s now time for, out with the old and in with the new format, that hopefully will be a very successful transition.
May I take this opportunity in thanking our team at the Foundation in particular Lorraine and David McKenzie and their many helpers who over the years have folded and enveloped many newsletters. Without you volunteering the mail would not have been delivered. But it certainly was. Helping us to “create a happier, healthier and safer community”
Can I also pay a huge thank you to the Directors and Consultants who have provided great content over many years.
We also congratulate our partners at The Drug Education Network on the celebration of 35 years of service to the Tasmanian Community.
